Day 10: Something your afraid of.

I'm just going to tell you, there are not many things I am afraid of.  I don't scare easy. I'm not afraid of the typical things like: snakes, spiders, or heights.  I think mice and other rodents are DISGUSTING, but I'm not scared of them. Actually I take that back.  They may scare me a little.

There are two things I am afraid of.  The first: losing my loved ones. The second: not being able to have children.

I am not scared to die.  Thanks to my Savior, I know without a doubt that when I leave this earth I going to spend eternity with Him.  However, I am scared about living life without the ones that mean the most to me.  I have never had a best friend or immediate family member pass away in my lifetime.  While I know death is inevitable, I depend on my loved ones every day and it scares me to think about losing any of them.

I LOVE children.  Always have.  They are a part of my life EVERY single day.  They are going to be my career.  I can't wait to have my own. The thought of carrying a little person inside of me, that Jon and I create, may be the coolest thing ever.  It scares the mess out of me to think there is a possibility I may never get to do that.  I have no reason at all to think that I won't be able to have children, but its always been a fear of mine.

Both of my fears are things that I can't control.  Maybe that's why they are so scary.  But I know there is no use in worrying.  I know God is good ALL the time. He has a plan for my life and He never gives us more than we can handle.

"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done."- Philippians 4:6

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."- Romans 6:28

Day 9: A picture[s] of your friends.

It took me awhile to decide how I was going to compose this post.  In my 23 years I have made some WONDERFUL friends.  Many of them I do not get to see as often as I like.  However; for this post I'm just going to tell you about my very BEST friends [besides my sisters & parents since I've talked about them in previous posts].  These five girls mean to world to me.  They are all my bridesmaids and I know no matter where life takes us, they will always be my dearest friends.

Fallon Nichole Cone
I met Fallon in the fall of 2006 when she joined Alpha Gamma Delta and we have been inseparable ever since. She has been my roommate for four years now and is like a sister to me. She recently graduated and now is in the process of deciding where she wants to attend optometry school.  Next year she will either stay here in  Memphis  or move to Florida or Philadelphia. No matter where she goes I am SO proud of her and I know our friendship will never change.

Linsey Alise Hunsucker
Linsey & I met in 2003 when she started school at Fayette Academy but we did not become close friends until our senior year when we played basketball together. We were roommates our freshman year of college and we both joined Alpha Gam together in the fall of 2005. Linsey is one of my dearest friends and I am so thankful for her. The memories that I have made with her are irreplaceable.  I know she will always be there for me whether I need a shoulder to cry on or someone to shop with!  I love my sweet friend! :)

Rachel Whitney Adkins
I met Whitney my freshman year of college when I joined Alpha Gam. We became great friends over the years because of our love and dedication to our sorority. We have laughed and cried together and when I look back at all of my wonderful memories at the University of Memphis, she is a part of all of them. We have the best time together whether we are at a concert, attending a Memphis basketball game, or laying around all day watching hours of One Tree Hill! She has been there for me time after time and I am so thankful for our friendship.

Mary Clayton Wilson
I met Mary Clayton when I joined Alpha Gam in 2005. She was my roommate my sophomore year of college and we have made some awesome memories together! No one can be in a bad mood when Mary Clayton is around.  She is one of the sweetest people I've ever met.  She is always there when I need to talk and she can always put a smile on my face.  I love her dearly and I am so blessed to have her in my life!

Mackenzie Lee Rhea
I have known Mackenzie all of my life but we became best friends in Junior High. I can't imagine my teenage years without her! She is also my cousin :) Mackenzie is a beautiful person inside and out.  She is always smiling and has always there for me when I needed her. I cherish all of our wonderful memories together and I can't wait to make some more with BOTH of our weddings coming up this spring. :)

I am VERY thankful for the friendships these girls and ALL of my other friendships as well.

Day 8: A place you've traveled to/My 1st Hogs game.

This past weekend we traveled to Fayetteville for the Arkansas/Ole Miss game.  We went with Jon's parents and his little brother, Matthew. [His sister, Liz, stayed in Memphis for the Carrie Underwood concert].  It was a GREAT weekend! Even though the game was suspended twice for lighting, we had a blast.  Great game. Great food. Great family. :)

Day 7: Your favorite movies.

STAR WARS: I love all 6 of these, but the old ones are definitely my favorites.  My uncle, Steven, introduced to me Star Wars when I was in high school and I have been been a huge fan ever since.
It's a Wonderful Life: I love Christmas movies and this is one of my favorites.

Easter Parade: Judy Garland is probably my all time favorite actress and this may be my favorite of her films.  Great songs and dancing! This movie always puts a smile on my face.

When Harry Met Sally: This is my favorite "chick flick" for sure! Besides the fact that it is super sweet and a cute story, this movie is hilarious.
I watched this movie hundreds of times as I kid and I LOVE it just as much today! :)
The Emperor's New Groove: If you know me, you know I'm a Disney fanatic and this is my favorite Disney movie.  It is SO stinking funny.  I just love it!

Forgetting Sarah Marshall: Great cast, super funny. I can't get enough of this movie.

Meet Me in St. Louis: Another favorite from my girl, Judy Garland. Great story, great songs.

Christmas Vacation:  One of the funniest movies ever!

The Mighty Ducks:  I love all three of these, but I think the second is the best.  These are definitely my favorite sports movies.
Beauty and the Beauty: Another Disney favorite.  I love this movie and it's soundtrack.
Cool Runnings: It's just an awesome feel good movie! Hilarious, too!
Harry Potter movies: I'm OBSESSED with the books, so of course I love the movies.

SHREK: I have seen them all and I think they are all hilarious! Shrek 2 is definitely my favorite though!

Sex and the City Movie:  Maybe it's because I'm obsessed with the show, but I love this movie.  I laugh, I cry. I love the friendship between these four women.  It's definitely an all time favorite movie.

Funny Face: I am a HUGE Audrey Hepburn fan.  This is my favorite of her films. She co-stars with Fred Astraire for this adorable song and dance movie.

Day 6: A picture of something that makes you happy.

My engagement ring makes me SUPER happy for multiple reasons.
1. It was given to me by the person I love most in the world.
2. It means I get to spend FOREVER with my best friend.
3. It is a symbol of his unconditional love and commit to me.
4. It's absolutely GORGEOUS!
5. It was made by my cousin, David Kelley.

Before we got engaged, Jonathan asked me to email him pictures of the types of rings I liked.  I sent him pictures of about twenty different rings.  He chose a picture of a stunning Tacori ring and took it to my cousin, David Kelley, who is a jeweler in my hometown of Somerville, TN.  Jonathan even got to hand pick the diamond.  It makes my ring even more special to know that it was made by my own cousin. And David did an amazing job.  The ring looks exactly like the one from Tacori.  It could not be anymore perfect. :)

Here is the picture of the Tacori ring Jonathan gave to David.
My beautiful ring. :)
A side view of the Tacori ring.
The side of mine.  Every detail is perfect!

Both sisters. Both younger.

I have known one all 21 years of her life.
The other joined our family when I was 21.
Both are beautiful inside and out.
Both are blessings from Him.
Brittany. Me. Amy.
