My version of the 1-2-3 Mug Cake

A few months ago I was OBSESSED with the Nutella Mug Cake. Okay, maybe I still am.
 But with all the sugar & calories, it is something I should only eat every now & then.

Luckily, I found a new microwave cake with less fat & calories!
It's called the 1-2-3 cake! I found it on Pinterest...of course :)

The first time I tried it, I wasn't crazy about it. It was a little dry & didn't have the chocolaty goodness that I was craving. I made some very minor changes to the original recipe & I love the result!

What you will need to get is:
1 box Angel Food Cake mix, 1 box Devil's Food mix, & unsweetened apple sauce. Take the two cakes mixes & combine them in a large container. Make sure it has an airtight lid!
Gotta love pyrex :)

Now you're ready to make the cake!

The measurements:
3 Tablespoons of the Angel Food/Devil's Food mixture
1 Tablespoon of Unsweetened Applesauce
1 Tablespoon of water
 A few chocolate chips {I usually do 5! Doesn't sound like much, but it makes a HUGE difference!}

The assembly:
Mix everything together except the chocolate chips.
After you mix, place the chocolate chips on top so they will slowly sink into the cake as it cooks.
Put it in the microwave for 45-60 seconds {I do 50}
Let cool for a couple of minutes and top with a little whipped cream.

{I'm not 100% positive on the calorie count, it just depends on how many chocolate chips you decide to add. But I believe if you just add 5 chocolate chips it will be a around 130!}

It's quite a yummy little treat! Especially with a cup of coffee :)
