23 Weeks


Pregnancy Highlights
How far along: 23 weeks 

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 18ish pounds

Maternity Clothes: I finally got a few more maternity tops, but there are still some of my regular clothes I can fit into.

Best Moment this Week: Hearing his heartbeat last Friday!

Gender: BOY! Baby Miller :)

Movement: LOTS!

Food Cravings: Still loving anything salty or spicy.

Food aversions: None. 

What I Miss: Sleeping on my stomach.

Sleep: Not very good this week. My back has been killing me. Especially at night. Anyone have any advice, please let me know!

What I am looking forward to: We are having dinner with one of my best friend's Friday night that I haven't seen in two months! And Sunday night is my church kiddos Christmas program. Can't wait to watch. They are going to do so good! :)

I have heard prenatal massages and visiting a chiropracter can help.

Definitely agree with the prenatal massage! Most places have tables with holes missing in the middle for your belly!

Do you sleep with a body pillow? I had the hubs get me one and I didn't use it much until the end. But, I'd sleep with it in between my knees and kinda move my belly up so it could rest on it (if you are sleeping on your side). That seemed to help me and take some of the pressure off my back. Couldn't hurt to try!

i havent been pregnant, but my friend said the bobby pillow that she slept with was amazing... gotta make sure theres room for that thing and the hubs in bed, but she said it was well worth the money!

You need a body pillow for sleep! And massages while pregnant are heavenly!!!

Ugh I understand the back pain! Mine will just hit me out of nowhere in the evenings and if feels like nothing will make it better! Try a heating pad and a massage from the hubby! Oh and something random, you can use vicks vapor rub on muscle aches and it's okay to use during pregnancy! So that may help (:

I have my first massage today! I am so excited and just hope it helps my back. Try a heating pad...that has helped me some.

Girl I don't know where those 18 pounds are on you! Right now I have had a brief hiatus from back pain, its crazy how it will come and go. Last week I was like an old woman getting out of bed!

My back killed too and I found that having a pillow between my legs and then one behind my back worked really well. I also found that sleeping on my back with a pillow on each side worked well too. The pillows on the side held up either side and allievated pressure.

You are looking great! I used a body pillow at night. It wrapped all the way around my back and then went between my legs and underneath my neck. That helped a lot. I didn't get prenatal massages but I'm pretty sure those would be awesome.
